Fairgreen Urban Quarter, Navan
The development consists of the infilling of an existing valley to form an underground public car park for 550 cars, the bridging of the existing Circular Road to form a new pedestrian link to the existing town centre, the design of a new Market Square to accommodate an existing market and the creation of a new pocket Town Park.
The development incorporates additional mixed-use accommodation which will finance the overall project through a Public- Private Partnership Mechanism.
The overall design carefully stitches together a complex edge-of-town site to form a new civic forum, a sequence of coherent public spaces, and key town infrastructure within an important conservation area.
