The development consists of the design of two detatched five-bedroom houses on a steeply sloping, heavily wooded site on the side of Killiney Hill, a very sensitive residential site.

Two cubic brick houses form a mews court accessed via a narrow shared lane. The houses are linked by a retaining wall which divides the site into an upper terrace and a lower wild garden. The existing landscape and planting was used to create a design specific to the site.

Though similar in strategy and general disposition of the rooms, each house responds defferently to the difffering site conditions. All avail of the spectacular views to the Wicklow mountains beyond.

This development made use of high insulation standards, ground-water and heat recovery technology to create energy efficient homes.
